ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT STUDIES MISSION (ESIA) IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF (7) SEVEN CULTURAL ARENAS IN ABOMEY, PORTO-NOVO, OUIDAH, LOKOSSA, PARAKOU, KOUANDE AND NATITINGOU IN BENIN ON BEHALF OF THE AGENCY FOR THE ENVIRONMENT OF LIFE AND TERRITORY DEVELOPMENT, UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE MINISTRY IN CHARGE OF TERRITORY DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDED BY THE NATIONAL BUDGET

The objective of the Environmental and Social Impact Studies (ESIA) mission of the project was carried out in order to take into account all the components of the natural and human environments likely to be affected by the arena construction project. cultural centers of Abomey, Porto-Novo, Ouidah, Lokossa, Parakou, Kouandé and Natitingou; to identify the positive and negative impacts of the project on the environment and to plan the implementation of corresponding mitigation and maximization measures. The study also took into consideration the interests, expectations and concerns of the population and those of the local authorities of the cities.
